USL Championship: Week Seven Reaction

While there certainly are some surprise results from week seven, overall the conference tables are starting to separate into their respective sections: the Mesosphere, the highest level of our USLC atmosphere ; the Stratosphere is the middling teams who could go on a great run and get themselves into the Mesosphere but could also suffer injuries and losses causing them to drop to the Troposphere… nobody wants to be at the bottom. With both Sacramento and Charleston topping their respective Conference tables, the leaders look to extend their advantages with home matches against respectable opponents. Lou City, who are visiting the aforementioned Charleston Battery, will be on the prowl to draw even in the East and pull back a few goals to right the ship on their unlikely negative goal difference. USL Championship: Week Six Reaction

The USL Championship wrapped up week six and we are starting to see some separation; both Charleston Battery and Sacramento Republic remain unbeaten and lead their respective conferences. Only one other team has gone undefeated so far, and that’s the anomaly holding up the bottom of the Western Conference, Las Vegas Lights, who have only played 4 and drawn 4.
