2024 WPSL National Finals Preview
Last weekend the WPSL kicked off its 2024 playoffs with 16 of the best teams in the world’s largest women’s soccer league - they are now whittled down to the final four squads! Defending Champions, Charlotte Eagles look to win back-to-back titles, but first they have to get past a resilient FC Pride. The second semifinal sees four time WPSL Champions California Storm taking on red hot Clarkstown Soccer Club in what could prove to be an absolute barn-burner.

Charlotte Eagles vs FC Pride
Friday, 07/19 - 4pm PST / 7pm EST at Neal Patterson Stadium in Stillwater, OK
2023 WPSL Champions, Charlotte Eagles, traveled to Austin, Texas last weekend and knocked off Futbolera Select 5-0; the very next day, they defeated the regional hosts, Austin Rise, 4-0. The Eagles won their South Atlantic - Carolinas Conference during the regular season and allowed only 4 goals all year. They are now set to take on FC Pride in the first of two WPSL semifinals.
FC Pride finished 3rd in the Central Midwest - Gateway Division but won two out of 3 of their final regular season games then advanced past Sioux Falls City FC through penalties after a thrilling 3-3 match, which went through added on extra time. The following day, Pride knocked out Union KC 2-1 to make their way to the Final Four.

Clarkstown SC vs California Storm
Friday, 07/19 - 6:15pm PST / 9:15pm EST at Neal Patterson Stadium in Stillwater, OK
Clarkstown SC won their East - Northeast Division with a perfect 8-0-0 record and only allowed 5 goals against during the regular season. Last weekend, they continued their invincible run with a win over Niagara 1812, 4-1; then they knocked off Reading United AC, 4-1 the following Sunday. Clarkstown average 3.5 goals a game and will be difficult to top.
Four time WPSL Champions, California Storm, won their West Pac - North Division… again, with 6 wins and 3 draws - allowing 8 goals during the regular season. They advanced to the finals in Oklahoma by totally blowing away FC Premier, 8-0 on Saturday and getting past regional hosts, Spokane Shadow, in penalties after a tense 2-2 game.
