The Outsider in Atlanta
With the US Soccer AGM kicking off today in Atlanta, we have a person on the inside, reporting on what’s going on and how it will impact the game in the United States. They sent us this dispatch yesterday.
Hello there.
I'm an outsider. I'm not an insider. I probably shouldn't be on my way to the U.S. Soccer Federation meetings in Atlanta.
This is kind of unreal, to be honest. It's sort of like being called up to the Big League, to use another sports metaphor, but I want to use it as a learning opportunity and see what I can find out.
So I've partnered with Protagonist.com to provide a little bit of insight from an outsider. Take it for what you will, but I'm going to talk to USSF folks, engage, and be ready to provide input on change.
With that said, I'm off to Atlanta. I'm ready. I've got my plane ticket and my hotel rez, and I'm going to be on-site all weekend. I might even play pickup at the event they have planned at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday. Who knows?
I'll report back later today, and everyday, with more from this U.S. Soccer AGM.
Until then,
The Outsider
