Birds of a Feather, Flock Together: Set Two
Soccer’s Bird Brands Look to Land Again
Early last year a handful of our favorite lower league soccer teams, Grays Harbor Gulls (WWPL), MPLS City (NPSL), Alta California SOL (UPSL), and AC Chehalem Valley (NWPL) crossed league bounds and “flocked together” to raise awareness of their namesakes. Four new clubs are looking to repeat the success of Birds of a Feather Set One and kickoff Set Two: Lansing Common FC (MWPL), PDX FC (NPSL), Temecula FC (also of the NPSL), and Oklahoma FC (WPSL). The goal is to sell a minimum of 100 patch sets and donate the proceeds to the National Audubon Society, a non-profit organization which is dedicated to the conservation of birds and their habitats.
While soccer is the primary goal of soccer teams, the very best clubs do more than just “develop players.” They operate within their community to improve the world around them, whether that’s volunteering at a homeless shelter, donating time to youth outreach or even sharing resources with non-sport related non-profit organizations; the clubs we most respect are busy all year round engaging in meaningful projects. For the above-mentioned teams, leveraging their beautiful branding to ensure the birds on their badges are taken care of in real life, falls into that extracurricular non-sporting category.
Protagonist Soccer has teamed up with Patchmarks to help create 2.5” woven patches for each team involved and the set will sell for $20 – for every set pre-ordered, we will throw in a package with SET ONE for FREE until inventory is exhausted. Pre-order SET TWO here to get both for the price of one.
