Favorite moment of the season?

This season has been filled with so many fun moments that it is hard to choose. I have enjoyed getting close to so many people that I would have never met if soccer didn’t bring us together. We all love soccer, having fun, and of course, winning.

Biggest challenge this season?

Coming onto the team many of us had never played together before, and this was probably the biggest challenge. We had to learn each other’s style of play and strengths in order to perform at the highest level. We adapted, executed, and because of this, we have gotten the results that we’ve worked so hard for.

How would you describe your team in a 140 word Tweet?

This team is one of the most unique, hardworking, and determined teams I’ve ever played for. We all come from different backgrounds and each brings something to the field. Every practice we show up with smiles and have a way of having fun but at the same time putting the work in. We push each other to our limits and because of this we make each other smarter and stronger for the games. This season we have picked each other when we were down, worked through our struggles, and showed up to fight for one another. We were definitely considered the underdogs coming into the season, but we ate that up and were eager to prove people wrong. We made history as a team but are not ready to stop. We are ready to work and accomplish all of our goals as a team!

What are you looking forward to in the Championship game?

I am looking forward to playing high level teams and to be able to show everyone what we have been working so hard for all season long.

What is your next goal in soccer?

Right now, my goal is to give everything I have at nationals. To leave the field with no regrets and know that I left it all out there.

Which professional do you want to model your game after and why?

I have always looked up to Carli Lloyd growing up because she is determined and always finds a way to work with her teammates to get the win. I feel like we play similar in the fact that she isn’t always the one who scores all the goals, but she finds a way to get her teammates involved in order to score.

Who is going to win the UWS 2021 National Championship?

Who is going to win the National Championship? ……The Athenians!!!!! We believe!!
