First Flight League Power Rankings - Week 3

Week 3 of the First Flight League saw a total of 18 goals across three matches. This high flying action makes each week an entertaining spectacle. Bragg returned to their winning ways over newcomers AC Raleigh. Gastonia showed they’re here to mean business against a stumbling Levi United. The Triad was a blaze with goals with Le Riverry securing three points on the road against NC United.

8. NC United FC (+0)

Still in last place of the power rankings, NC United nearly doubles its points totals as the On Board crew rate their offensive capabilities more and more. They have a tough opponent next week against top of the Piedmont’s Gastonia FC.

Total Points: 17

7. AC Raleigh (-1)

Back to back losses have us wondering about AC Raleigh. They may have been the pre-season champs, but so far they’re not living up to that hype. Can they begin to right the ship against Goldsboro next week?

Total Points: 33

6. Le Riverry FC (+1)

A one point result in Winston-Salem moves the Marines up one place in the rankings. We’re mostly concerned about the amount of goals Riverry let in, considering they have been a highly rated defense in previous seasons.

Total Points: 37

5. Levi United (+0)

Levi United remained in fifth despite back to back losses. We have our eye on them attempting a rebound this week against Greenville or we fear they might start dropping down the rankings again.

Total Points: 49

4. Gastonia FC (+0)

The top four of the league is looking clearer each week. Gastonia have had big results in Weeks 1 and 3 and will be looking to show off this week at home for the first time ever. Keep playing like they are and we may start to see some moves for the top rank.

Total Points: 67

3. Greenville United (-1)

A bye week may be exactly what Greenville needed for Week 3 to help continue to gel their new players. They’re facing a Levi United this week that is our for redemption and they better be prepared.

Total Points: 68

2. Bragg FC (+1)

We’re all high on the Bulldogs this week after an impressive rebound against AC Raleigh. Bragg sits on top of the Coastal Conference currently and look to face off against their military rivals Le Riverry FC this week.

Total Points: 74

1. Goldsboro Strike Eagles FC

Goldsboro spent their bye week in Tennessee participating in the Champions of Regions tournament. Their efforts resulted in a third place finish and a +5 goal differential. Back in league play they will face off against AC Raleigh for the first time in a match up we had circled as being one of the most interesting of the season.

Total Points: 87
