Maryland Majors Week 3 Recap
Two 1st Division games were played in the 1st Division of the Maryland Major Soccer League. In the Sunday, September 27, afternoon game, Steel Pulse FC defeated All Star United 1-0 at Cedar Lane Park. And, in the evening game at Catonsville High School, Columbia F.C. and Baltimore Kickers drew 1-1.
The shock game of the week was in the 2nd Baltimore Metro. JA Raiders FC beat Meade United F.C. 4-1 on Wednesday, September 23, at Troy Park. But they were unprepared for the onslaught they were to face on Sunday at Cedar Park Lane, Field #6, on Sunday. In that match, Argyle FC absolutely crushed the Raiders 10-0. The other 2nd Baltimore Metro game was held Friday at Catonsville High School where Annapolis United 2 F.C. defeated IFK Maryland, 4-1.
Three 2nd Capital Beltway matches were held Sunday at Hammond High School in Columbia, Maryland. Dream Team FC blanked DMV Rangers 3-0 in the first game. In the early afternoon match, Limitless FC easily handled Colombia F.C. 6-2. And, in the final match, Maryland United FC and Frederick Spires FC drew 4-4. Finally, at Greenbriar Park in Fairfax, Virginia, NPC Futbol defeated Rockville S.C. 3-2 and Fredericksburg City United beat Motorik FC 2-1 in 2nd Capital Beltway games.
