Napa Valley 1839 FC 5 - 3 Oakland Stompers
This match was part of a double header with Napa Valley’s WPSL team and fans showed up to support their club. Attendance was announced at 750. Manny Maravilla would give the home crowd something to cheer about with a goal in the 10th minute. Ivan Sakou would add one of his own ten minutes later. Napa Valley’s goal leader, Dario Pavon would add two goals before half to go along with an assist. Stompers would get into the scoring action in the second half, with goals from Fernando Araujo and Brian Marin (2 PKs). That would leave it to Arjan Dosanjh, who would score an insurance goal for the home side.
Napa Valley 1839 sported a “Cause Kit.” In partnership with A&J Vineyard Supply Inc, all proceeds went to Ole Health, who’s stated purpose is to “to serve the most vulnerable in our Napa and Solano communities.”
Tulsa Athletic 2 - 0 Reign FK
After a pile of drama to kick off the season, Tulsa is putting together an impressive season on the field. Giovanni Herrera would open up the scoring with a goal in the 18th minute, the first of his 2023 campaign. The second goal would be slotted in by Abou Diallo, ten minutes later in the first half. Diallo has had an amazing season just three matches in, currently at 5 goals for the season.
Dakota Fusion 4-1 Minnesota TwinStars
Hard to find a more competitive conference than the NPSL Midwest-North. Coming off a draw with Med City last match, Dakota Fusion got all three against Minnesota Twin Stars, winning 4-1. Daniel Helle would find the net first for Fusion, but Twin Stars’ Miguel Arellano would score (PK) before the half to even up the score headed into the break.
After 30 minutes of stalemate, Fusion’s Yu Ysukanome would open the floodgates. Scoring in the 73rd, 81st, and 89th minute, Ysukanome would win the match with an impressive hat trick. Dakota Fusion will travel to Sioux Falls this weekend. Winless TwinStars will host Med City.
