Stumptown AC Finds Kit Sponsor
Stumptown AC has signed a partnership deal with OrthoCarolina Healthcare. The agreement will make OrthoCarolina the “Official Healthcare provider for the remainder of the spring season with continuing discussions as a long-term partner for future seasons. OrthoCarolina logo will be featured on the chest of the home jerseys.” So far the league-owned club, which has shined under head coach Rod Underwood, had featured the club crest on the kit.
OrthoCarolina is a leading provider of orthopedic care, both locally and nationally. As part of the deal, “OrthoCarolina will provide a certified, physical training professional (ATC) at all Stumptown AC training sessions, as well as at all Stumptown AC home and away matches and other events or appearances involving the team.”
In the press release from NISA, Coach Underwood highlighted the main benefit of the partnership. “Having good physical care on a daily basis for our players is of the utmost importance in keeping them all fit and prepared to play throughout the season. When those inevitable injuries do occur, it is also great to know that we have a top-notch healthcare provider in OrthoCarolina as a partner to rely on to get them the care they need and ultimately to get them back on the pitch as soon as they are deemed fit again.”
“OrthoCarolina is proud to have been selected as the Official Healthcare Provider for Stumptown AC,” adds Blair Primis, senior vice president of marketing for OrthoCarolina. “Under the care of Dr. Saltzman and our world-class physical therapy team, we will work hard to make the team successful on and off the field. We are excited to support another local community partner and look forward to a wonderful season.”
For the team, it’s a continued move in the right direction as the club looks for an ownership group to purchase the team from NISA. Since the league took over the club, the level of play has been surprisingly solid (given the short turn around time). The team currently sits mid-table in the league, in competition for the playoff spot.
