When was your club founded, by whom, and what is the mission?
SF Galaxy is a new club founded in 2022 by EX, soccer player, Karim Betouche, from Algeria, North Africa, Where football is a life over there.

My mission was to help my community San Francisco Bay area, by providing a true soccer club, with zero fees for the players, And give my experience to the young players, who wanna be a pro one day, By creating a Soccer Academy as well, working with low income people, make it very affordable, for the young kids to play soccer. Which is basically impossible in San Francisco, most of the soccer academy, is only about business and the money. We are completely different than them. We will be hosting, players, from 6 years old to 18 years old. And give opportunities to the players who reach the age to play with the men teams, to continue their dream.

Tell us about the name and the badge - how is it connected to your community?
Our budge represent, our lovely city, San Francisco, in the middle of our logo you can see the Golden Gate Bridge, hour, historic and well-known bridge that represents San Francisco. Our team collars, blue, and orange: orange inspired from San Francisco giant baseball team. (Dark blue is my favorite color. )

What league do you play in? Why did you choose that league and how often does the club re-evaluate where it plies its trade?
We currently playing in the NSL national Pacific league, and UPSL division 1 starting March. We choose those both league, NSL, and UPSL basically they are the best amateur league in California, and they always benefits the club first. We do evaluate every month by zoom meeting. Our weaknesses…

Does the club develop or sell any merch? How do you help cover the fees?
We don’t sell merch yet, our only benefit so far, comes from sponsorship, and our home games sell tickets, When the season start in March.

How did you finish last season? How do you plan on improving for next year?
Our season start in March, we’ve been doing very good in our preseason games, we played against a very good teams, npsl teams… We have a group of talented players comes from everywhere around the world, Europe, Asia, South America.

Are you available to friendlies - how do clubs or potential partners contact you?
We always open to friendly, if we do have a gap before the season starts, of course, always happy to travel more than 100 miles, to play a friendly game, because that’s what Soccer is all about, Get to know people and spread love through football.
