Welp, apparently I’m the kiss of death! Beaman United had come into last weekend on a run of dominance. After defeating their opponents 28-5, it seemed a forgone conclusion that the streak would continue and BUFC would crush Pumas Premier. That did not happen. Instead we got a close match that ended 2-2. Great job by Pumas to grab the point at home!

So on to this weekend’s match to watch!

This week, I’ll be keeping my eye on Odessa FC hosting Tapatio FC Amarillo. Living in El Paso, I always watch the West Texas - New Mexico Premier. Just two weeks into play, this is a top of the table matchup. Coming into this week, both clubs are riding high off wins. Odessa and Tapatio are the only two clubs in this Conference with a positive goal differential, scoring 5 and 6 goals respectively in their matches. Tapatio did make up a sizeable amount in its last match against Southwest FC, winning 5-2. Should Odessa win this match, it will have a 5 point lead over the rest of the conference, on the other hand, should Tapatio grab 3, the conference gets super muddy. Either way, I’m here for it.
