UPSL Match to Watch
It’s been a long and interesting season for the UPSL and, after all the twists and turns of the regular season, we’ve got the month long national playoff kicking off this weekend. The bracket features several of the big names returning from last season’s championship weekend, including LAFC Academy and Chicago Nation FC. The list also includes standouts from years past, like Idaho Cutthroats FC and Olympians FC. But there’s plenty of new and fresh faces on this bracket. This weekend it all kicks off and we’re excited to see the battle that will ensue for the league’s national title.
Graham Walsh, UPSL CEO, noted the overall success of the season and his excitement for the oncoming playoffs in a statement this week. “It’s already been a great season, the best yet for the UPSL as the quality and breadth continues to grow. Once again, we are seeing that playoff soccer can bring some big surprises. These are some of the best teams in the country and the road to the National Finals is not easy. I’m excited to see who makes it all the way to Columbus for the Finals.”
The strength of the UPSL is the massive diversity that fills the largest amateur soccer league in the United States. The playoffs allows teams from every corner of the country to match up against a host of equally talented teams. Playoff matches kick off this weekend and the entire list of fixtures can be found on the UPSL’s website.
