USL Championship Quarterfinals Guide
Today we enter the first round of playoffs for USL Championship - after a hard fought season, both Louisville City and San Antonio FC won their respective conferences and therefore, as number one seeds, have a first round bye. For this week, we get to see how the rest of the field fall into place for the next rounds.
Last year’s winners, Orange County SC, are missing out on the playoffs, despite a fantastic year from Milan Iloski, who netted 22 goals during the regular season and is the league’s Golden Boot winner - also out, is Benjamin Lundt, with 115 saves for Phoenix Rising. Jordan Farr, the league’s Golden Glove winner with 15 clean sheets, will get back between the pipes next round for aforementioned San Antonio FC. So will Louisville City’s Kyle Morton, who came in second with 13 shutouts.
