WOSO Returns

It’s official: soccer is back.

Sure, many men’s leagues have already returned. The MLS and USL seasons have already started. NWSL’s regular season starts tomorrow. The NCAA’s men’s and women’s championship matches are next week, and both national teams have played friendlies and official FIFA matches.

But soccer hasn’t returned yet for two lower league women’s leagues, WPSL and UWS, who together are made up of more than 250 teams whose 2020 seasons were cancelled and have since been chomping at the bit to return to play.

UWS’ Midwest Conference started last weekend, with Midwest United vs. Lansing United serving as the league opener. UWS League Two also began their inaugural season, with an opening matchup between Grand Haven Admirals vs. Corktown AFC II. This weekend, more UWS conferences will return to play: the East Conference, the Southwest Conference, and the West Conference. The final conference to return to play, the Central Conference, will see a game on May 22nd between KC Courage and FC Wichita.

Meanwhile, the WPSL returns to play this weekend, with many a fresh face. Today, the Carolinas Conference begins with a crosstown matchup between Independence Central and Charlotte Eagles. On Saturday, the Metropolitan and Southeast Conferences return, and on Sunday, the Colonial and Midwestern Conferences.

Both leagues have partnerships with MyCujoo so fans can watch live streams of most if not all games. To locate their schedules to find game times, buy tickets, or to find the stream links:
