Super League Sync
Hope your turkey cooked well and the pie was delicious! We’re weeks away from the winter break and the Super League only has a single match this weekend.
Fort Lauderdale vs Dallas Trinity
Dallas is hard charging into the break, sitting on a pile of matches in-hand and looking every bit the expected leader at midpoint of the season. Trinity is undefeated in 7 matches and should be the expected favorite in this very important match with Fort Lauderdale United. With a win, Dallas will jump into a tie with front-running Brooklyn FC. They’ll face in the final match of the first half and it could have big implications in the standings. Until then though, Dallas has this match and Tampa Bay Sun next weekend. With Tampa has their own undefeated streak going (3 so far) and should put up a fight, so all the more reason to win against FTL and jump the table.
For their part, Fort Lauderdale hasn’t won a match since the first week of October. While there’s plenty of talent on the squad, it just hasn’t come together in a consistent way. And nowhere is that more obvious than in the attack, where the team hasn’t scored more than a goal in the last two months. You’d have to go back to September 22nd to find a match where United scored more than a single goal. People hadn’t even put Halloween decorations up at that point! This team has three matches before the break and every opponent is assuming three points against them.
