Last weekend, we pointed out the Odessa FC vs Tapatio FC Amarillo match as a good one that would shape the West Texas-New Mexico table. Odessa came in with an undefeated streak and found a way to stretch it one more match. The West Texas side won 4-1 over TFCA and further extended its lead in the Conference. Odessa now sits at 10 points, 4 ahead of El Paso’s Southwest FC. Tapatio FC Amarillo falls to 4th.

This Weekend’s Match to Watch

You can’t get a hotter conference battle than the one going on in the SoCal North Conference. Well into the meat of the schedule and 7 clubs are within 5 points of the top spot. Atop the conference is 2021 Fall semi-finalist LAFC Academy, undefeated with a +12 goal differential. The talent on this team is top notch and they continue to roll in the UPSL. Facing them this weekend is the 4th place Orange County FC, who have yet to lose a match and feature a +17 goal differential. This match offers OCFC a chance to try and even things out in the conference, while LAFC Academy has the chance to swipe points from a club desperate to catch them.
