USL League 2 Playoff Watcher: Top 35
With USL League Two matches kicking off all week, every week, we’ve done our best to utilize the stats compiled from the league and use them in our very own THE 2HOW Top 35. Everything from points per game to games played and from goal differential to being a respective division leader, have been taken into consideration.
At the end of the road, only 35 teams from the league will enter the playoffs and we’ll be here every week to keep watch over the progress, and regress, of some of USL League Two’s top sides. So, without further ado, here are the Top 35 USL League Two sides according to Protagonist Soccer’s THE 2HOW.

07. Western Mass Pioneers:
06. Little Rock Rangers SC: (Division Leader)
05. Ventura County Fusion: (Division Leader)
04. Flint City Bucks: (Division Leader)
3. Seacoast United Phantoms:
(Division Leader) It may have been a planned resting of starters, it may have been looking ahead. Whatever the cause, the result is that the Phantoms dropped a shocker to a very game 5th place side in AC Connecticut. Seacoast still holds a two point lead over Western Mass, and a one point lead (and game in hand) over Vermont, but the seat atop the Northeast division is now decidedly hotter.
2. Asheville City SC:
(Division Leader) Hard to find future point losses left in the Blues’ calendar as Asheville enters the back half of their schedule against divisional opponents, most of whom they’ve already easily cleared in earlier meetings. Outside the division, the Blues are +12 in goal differential and +14 in goals scored over Little Rock, their closest competition for the Southern Conference regular season title. If the two above Asheville in the league-wide power rankings so much as draw a single match, the Blues could be lifting a league regular season title too.
1. Ocean City Nor’ Easters:
(Division Leader) The Nor’easters have blown through the Mid-Atlantic competition and play five of their remaining six matches of the regular season in the friendly home confines of Carey Stadium. Not fanciful thinking to assume Ocean City just might see the top spot through to a League 2 season shield.
