Back with another edition of well-reasoned power rankings for League 2! With all clubs having played at least six matches of their schedule now, we’re able to separate and rank sides, whether they’ve competed in six games or a dozen, but the number of potential table points they’ve dropped. For those tied in that metric, their goal differential has been averaged out across their total number of games played. See, well-reasoned and informed.

We’ve reached an official twenty-deep in the power rankings in week seven. Some faithfully top level clubs have finally made their way into the designation list, while some new teams with flashy starts to the season have begun to fade out. Here’s where we are ahead of the week eight weekend.

As promised, The 2how Power Rankings expand this week to fifteen sides. There’s a lot more movement, both up and down, as early leaders advance deeper into their seasons and sides previously yet to play in previous weeks finally took the pitch.

Some clubs are four matches in, some are one, and some have yet to kickoff this season. With that matches-in-hand imbalance, we’ll stick to a top 10 this week, but expand to 15 next week, before topping out at a Top 20 edition the week after. In this week’s, some clubs held fast to their pole positions, other made significant gains, and a few dropped to outside looking in status.

With just five matches played in week one, I’ve held off on an initial 2023 power rankings until after week two played out. There’s still several clubs yet to kick the ball in the season, so weeks three and four will provide far clearer pictures of the league strongest sides for the year. Until then, here’s the best ten (eleven) teams to have seen league action.
